LiNNY Ladies We Love: Tiffany Forsberg

We are thrilled to be starting up our LiNNY Ladies We Love series here in the USA! Every month on our blog, we will highlight some of the fabulous women we've crossed paths with who inspire us. To kick things off, we are starting with the one and only Tiffany Forsberg.

Tiffany has been an incredible champion of our brand since we opened our storefront in Dallas at the Galleria. We are honored to carry a selection of her bespoke, jewelry pieces in our store. She is an impeccable designer who is wicked smart and so fashion-forward, but her greatest quality is perhaps her kindness. As a highly-sought after figure in design with a crowded schedule, it is truly amazing how Tiffany carries herself with such grace and interacts so thoughtfully with each person she encounters.

We are delighted to share even more about Tiffany with you today.

Tiffany, the work you have done is so inspiring to us. Tell us a little bit about your professional journey?

Thank you! I grew up in Oregon and was raised by my mother who was an artist, model, worked in film. We attended artists fairs, such as the Oregon Country Fair. We attended concerts and dressed in Vintage Clothing. It was a fun and adventurous experience. I started modeling in Portland at 15 and by 18 I was working in Milan, Paris, Hamburg and Taipei. In the US I worked in Seattle and then LA. After this I decided to start College and found myself drawn to Dallas. This is where I ended up getting married, working in Fine Jewelry at Ylang23 and having my children. About 14 years ago I quit my job to raise my kids and still dabbled in my art on the side. They thrived in school as well as being in the Arts. Jad was singing, modeling and playing sports and Hannah was dancing competitively and then went into Theatre in High School. I loved watching them perform and work. They are so lifted at anything they put their mind to! Jad is in College now and Hannah is working at a job she loves. I guess you could say I realized I was going to be an empty nester soon and this prompted me to ramp up my Jewelry and Styling Business. I've been making jewelry since High School and actually had Jerry Garcia's daughter in my jewelry making class! Jewelry is such a beautiful way to adorn yourself and it makes me happy to see people enjoy wearing my pieces. I'm growing the Collection and starting to do more personal appearances and go into more stores here and overseas. I love Lindsay's style and I'm so thrilled to be carried in her stores!

Do you have any daily rituals or routines that help keep you focused and/or motivated?

I wake up really early and have my coffee while checking my emails. Then I make a to do list as well as a goals list. Working for yourself is fun and challenging. I would say I love what I do so it doesn't feel like work. I'm constantly motivated by my clients. I feel the need to always come up with a beautiful piece for them that will be appropriate for the season and different from what they already have.

Is there any one moment in your life that altered your career path unexpectedly?

Yes, when my son was young he was having a hard time in school. I knew at that moment I needed to dedicate myself to getting him in a good place with smaller classes and more recess plus me just being more present.

Talk to us about your workwear - whether working at home, on the go, or in the office. How does your wardrobe affect how you feel when you work?

Oh, well me being a fashion stylist as well my wardrobe runs from t-shirt/jeans to couture. I can't leave the house without being put together, because I never know who I'm going to run into! I feel good when people comment on what I'm wearing.

What is an item in your closet that you cannot live without?

Oh wow! This is hard! I have so many amazing things! I'd have to say my Balmain black jacket with big gold buttons!

Are you an online or in-store shopper?

Both! I love shopping Saks or Wolf & Badger online. I love Vintage, so you can find me at Vintage Martini or Dolly Python digging for goodies. I'm a color, fabric and texture person. I'm constantly looking for things that look rich.

If you were to give some advice to a woman looking to break into your career/industry, what would it be?

I would say to scour over fashion and jewelry books and learn what each era had as fashion trends. Travel and spend time in museums. Study other cultures to learn about the way they dress and put things together. Work in sales and talk to other women to see what they like and how they like to be adorned. I always ask myself how I can be of service and fulfill a fashion need.
